Job summary

CatholicCare NT is seeking a Counsellor in Darwin to provide high‑quality, culturally appropriate counselling within a cohesive team. You will support and strengthen family relationships, enhance children and young people’s wellbeing, manage issues including family violence, and assist families through parental separation.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Counselling, Psychology or Social Work with professional registration where required.
• Experience working with children, young people, adults and families.
• Membership with PACFA/AASW/ACA or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, responsive counselling services to diverse clients.
• Support and strengthen family relationships and child/teen wellbeing.
• Assist couples and families to manage relationship issues including family violence.
• Specialise in school counselling while supporting other referral types as needed.
