Job summary

A leading dance education provider is seeking a Casual Dance Instructor/Teacher in Sydney. This role involves coaching and delivering dance programs in various locations across Sydney. Candidates must have experience in sports coaching and be prepared to obtain a Working with Children check. Flexible schedules are available, including midweek and weekend work.

Qualifications

  • Must have (or be willing to apply for) a current Working with Children check.
  • Child Protection Training preferred.
  • First Aid + CPR Training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coaching students in dance.
  • Attend and conduct training sessions.
  • Facilitate competition games if required.

About us
NLS is NSW's number-one provider of Dance Instructors/Teachers for schools, clubs, OSHC and Councils.

We have positions all over Sydney including Inner West, Lower North Shore, Eastern Suburbs, Upper North Shore, Sutherland Shire, Northern Beaches, Western Sydney and Blue Mountains.

We are looking for Dance Instructors/Teachers to come and join us in delivering amazing dance programs across Sydney

All of our coaches must have (or be willing to apply for) a current Working with Children check. We are looking for someone with a good level of experience and willing to give children a thorough experience through Dance

Schedule
We have morning (6.30 AM - 9 AM), in-school time (9 AM - 3 PM) and after-school (3 PM - 5 PM) positions available. Both midweek and weekend work are available.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Sports coaching/playing experience
  • PAID Working with Children (WWC) Check
  • Child Protection Training (Preferred)
  • First Aid + CPR Training (Preferred)

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Coaching
  • Attend and conduct all training sessions
  • Attend and facilitate all competition games (if required)
  • Being Reliable and Organised

Additional Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of standard coaching practices
  • Independently handle multiple sporting priorities
  • Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships & communicate clearly & effectively with students, staff, administrators, and at times parents/guardians
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential matters with tact and diplomacy, and to maintain confidentiality of information as needed or to protect the rights of individual students
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse community
