Job summary

Seqwater is the Queensland Government Bulk Water Supply Authority, responsible for delivering safe, secure and cost-effective bulk water supply for over 3 million people across Southeast Queensland. This role supports dam and catchment operations from Hinze Dam, performing daily inspections, surveillance and operational activities to keep water infrastructure safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or equivalent experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining small plant and equipment.
• Experience operating water-related infrastructure or similar operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate water distribution, release, irrigation and treatment activities to meet water delivery needs.
• Conduct surveillance and inspections of dam infrastructure for safe, reliable operations.
• Coordinate and monitor preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance with Seqwater teams.
• Operate dam infrastructure including valves, hydro generation equipment, water treatment systems and pump stations.
