Job summary

Bega Group is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer for its Morwell yoghurt and dairy desserts site, part of Australia’s iconic Great Australian Food Company. You will join the Engineering & Reliability team, reporting to the Automation Leader, supporting automation and OT systems across 9 lines in a highly automated facility.

Dairy industry experience is highly preferred. You will hit the ground running with PLC/SCADA/MES work, actuator control, and continuous improvement projects, with an

Qualifications

High level PLC programming experience, preferably Omron and Allen-Bradley.
Strong SCADA/HMI/MES development and configuration skills.
Experience supporting manufacturing information systems (MIS).

Responsibilities

Provide specialist technical support for manufacturing as required.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects using automation to improve production capability and reliability.
Design, implement and validate PLC/SCADA/HMI/MES software changes for automated plant processes.
Create high-quality technical documentation for system design, specifications, and testing.
Mentor production team members to understand automation controls and impacts.
