Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Security Consultant to join our Security team in Australia, focusing on advisory and assurance across major infrastructure, technology and critical asset environments.

You’ll work with project leaders, engineers and clients to embed cyber security from concept through delivery. The role involves risk assessments, secure architecture guidance, and navigating regulatory requirements, delivering practical, value-driven advice on a national transport infrastructure

Qualifications

• Experience delivering cyber security consulting, advisory, risk, compliance, or assurance services.
• Knowledge of cyber security frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience conducting cyber security risk assessments and developing practical risk treatment strategies.
• Understanding of security architecture principles and secure-by-design approaches.
• Ability to communicate security concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in critical infrastructure, transport, utilities, government, or OT environments is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on cyber security strategy, governance, risk, and compliance initiatives.
• Supporting delivery of a major transport infrastructure project across its lifecycle.
• Conducting cyber security risk assessments, threat modelling, and security reviews.
• Providing security architecture guidance across enterprise, cloud, hybrid, and OT environments.
• Presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and executive audiences.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver outcomes.
• Supporting business growth through client engagement and proposals.
• Contributing to development of cyber security methodologies, tools, and best practices.
