Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Cyber Threat Hunter to protect the technology environment that supports thousands of staff, residents and clients across our aged care, community and family services. You will proactively hunt threats, investigate activity and improve detection capacity.

Working with Security, IT Operations, Architecture and Risk teams, you will analyse attacker techniques, tune monitoring and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security operations, threat hunting, incident response or related cyber defence roles.
• Knowledge of attacker TTPs and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring, SIEM/EDR and cloud security.
• Strong analytical and investigative capabilities with data correlation.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, PowerShell or similar for analysis/automation.

Responsibilities

• Proactively hunt for threats and investigate suspicious activity.
• Identify adversary behaviour and attack techniques before they impact the organisation.
• Strengthen cyber resilience through detection improvement and threat intel.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security, IT Operations, Architecture and Risk teams.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
