Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Cyber Security Technical Analyst in Brisbane, Queensland, to strengthen resilience across IT and OT environments. This 12 month contract role involves translating security findings into practical actions and delivering remediation plans that align with industry frameworks.

You will analyse identity patterns, AD structures, and access pathways, support control uplift, and document requirements for incident simulations and policy updates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical analysis and cyber security uplift.
• Knowledge of identity patterns, PAM, AD, MFA, RBAC, jump hosts.
• Ability to identify control gaps and translate findings into requirements.
• Experience with IT/OT security baselines, logging, and resilience activities.
• Familiarity with AESCSF, Essential Eight, NIST, and CIRMP frameworks.

Are you ready to strengthen cyber security resilience across both IT and OT environments? We are seeking a dedicated Cyber Security Technical Analyst to join a major security uplift initiative, translating security obligations, control gaps, and assessment findings into practical, delivery-ready actions.

What You Will Do:

• Analyse identity, privileged access, Active Directory structures, and OT access pathways to build clear remediation materials.
• Support technical control uplift through configuration analysis, security baselines, IT edge/cloud reviews, and secure IT/OT file transfer processes.
• Document technical and process requirements to support incident simulations, policy updates, and supply chain cyber security activities.
• Prepare evidence packs, coordinate maturity assessment inputs, and convert penetration testing findings into prioritised remediation plans.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, technical discovery, and process mapping to ensure smooth operational readiness and service transition.

What You Need to Apply for This Role:

• Proven experience in technical analysis and cyber security uplift across IT, OT, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Practical knowledge of identity patterns, PAM workflows, Active Directory, MFA, RBAC, jump hosts, and access tiering models.
• Strong ability to evaluate current-state environments, identify control gaps, and challenge assumptions to define practical technical requirements.
• Experience supporting IT/OT security baselines, logging, operational access pathways, and cyber resilience activities.
• Working knowledge of key cyber security frameworks such as AESCSF, Essential Eight, NIST, and Enhanced SOCI CIRMP requirements.
