The Cyber Security Intern will work with our technical consultants to implement and validate Microsoft-recommended security controls across Windows workstations and servers.
This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate who has exposure to Microsoft security technologies and wants practical experience implementing enterprise security controls.
Microsoft certifications are advantageous but not required:
Have you ever configured or tested Microsoft Defender Attack Surface Reduction (ASR) rules? If yes, which rules have you worked with and how did you validate that they were operating correctly?
Looking for: Hands-on Defender experience, not just theoretical knowledge.
Describe a Microsoft Intune policy that you have created or modified. What problem was it solving and how did you deploy and test it?
Looking for: Practical configuration experience.
What is LDAP Signing and why would an organisation want to implement it? Have you ever participated in a project involving Active Directory security hardening?
Looking for: Understanding of directory security and authentication controls.
Tell us about a security vulnerability or security recommendation you helped investigate or remediate. What was the issue and what actions did you take?
Looking for: Problem solving and practical security exposure.
Can you provide an example of a PowerShell script you have written or modified? What did it do and how was it used?
