Job summary

C4i Solutions Pty in Sydney seeks experienced Defence Cyber Security GRC professionals for permanent roles. You will support Cyber GRC activities for classified Defence systems and work with Defence stakeholders to drive Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.

Ideal candidates bring extensive governance expertise, CSAAF familiarity, and strong risk management skills, including artefact development such as SSP, SRMP, IRP, and POA&M. Australian citizen with relevant clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in cyber security governance and frameworks within Defence/government environments.
• Proven expertise in CSAAF processes to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO) for Defence systems.
• Ability to engage Defence stakeholders to support ATO workflows and outcomes.
• Experience developing artefacts (SAP, SSP, SRMP, IRP, CMP, POA&M) aligned with CSAAF.
• Strong leadership, policy development, and continuous improvement in governance.

Responsibilities

You will provide a Cyber GRC activities supporting classified Defence systems. Your duties and experience may include but not be limited to;

• Extensive experience in managing cyber security governance and frameworks, including ISM, PSPF, DSPF, and Essential Eight (E8) requirements, within the overarching Defence CyberWorthiness System (DCwS).
• Proven expertise in leading Cyber Security Assessment and Authorisation Framework (CSAAF) processes to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO) for Defence systems.
• Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with Defence stakeholders and decision-makers to support ATO workflows and outcomes.
• Skilled in developing and maintaining core security artefacts in alignment with CSAAF requirements, including SAP, BIL and E8 assessments, SSP, SSP-A, SRMP, IRP, CMP, SCCG, and POA&M.
• Provide leadership and drives continuous improvement in cyber security governance, policy development, and best practice implementation.
• Strong proficiency in risk management, encompassing risk identification, mitigation strategies, and reporting within Defence information environments.
• Experience with Defence networks and system security, including integration into the Single Information Environment, acceptance into service, and transition to sustainment of Defence capabilities and systems.

About you:

• Cyber Security experience in classified Defence or Government environments.
• Australian citizen with a current or inactive AGSVA clearance (Min NV1 preferred).
• Relevant qualifications and industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor (Highly regarded).
• Certifications or formal training in cybersecurity frameworks and standards, especially those relevant to Defence environments, are highly valued.
• Strong understanding of the integration and security challenges of OT and ICT networks.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure in diverse environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with both military and civilian stakeholders.
• An ability to work either individually or as part of a broader team.
