Job summary

SYPAQ Systems is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant for a permanent role based in Canberra. This position involves supporting government capability projects and requires a background in ICT or engineering, specifically with an NV1 clearance.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizen with minimum NV1 clearance.
• Approximately four years’ experience in ICT/engineering.
• Bachelor of Engineering in Systems, Electronics & Communications, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Software.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Desire to learn cyber in the Defence Capability context.
• Experience with the Defence Capability Lifecycle is highly desirable.

Position: Cyber Security Consultant – Permanent, based in Canberra.

We seek an experienced Cyber Security Professional with a background in documentation, policy development, GRC, and governance frameworks such as the Essential Eight (E8) and the Information Security Manual (ISM). The role involves supporting government capability projects, including development of requirements, verification/validation, and certification/accreditation.

• Approximately four years’ experience in ICT/engineering
• Bachelor of Engineering in Systems, Electronics & Communications, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Software
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills (writing and speaking)
• Desire to learn cyber in the Defence Capability context
• Experience with the Defence Capability Lifecycle (One Defence Capability System) is highly desirable but not necessary
