Job summary

Bunnings is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to join our Security team in Melbourne. You will design secure, scalable solutions across cloud, infrastructure, applications, identity and security platforms, influencing technology decisions while embedding security into initiatives.

This role works with business stakeholders and technology teams to balance security with practicality, governance and risk management.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in cyber security.
  • 2+ years in cyber security architecture roles.
  • Delivery experience at enterprise level.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and risk management.
  • Ability to influence architecture strategy and roadmap.
  • Experience across cloud security, IAM, SIEM, endpoints, vulnerability management, network security and application security.
  • Familiarity with regulatory/compliance standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.
  • Degree in Technology/CS/Cyber Security or equivalent.

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to join our Bunnings Security team.

  • Support the development of security governance practices and help build cyber awareness across technology teams.
  • Stay across emerging threats, technologies and industry trends, bringing fresh ideas and innovative approaches to the team.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors and industry peers to strengthen security outcomes and share insights.


About You

You'll bring a strategic mindset and enjoy looking at the bigger picture while understanding how security decisions impact broader business outcomes. You're naturally curious, enjoy solving complex problems and can communicate technical concepts in a clear and practical way.

What you'll need

  • 5+ years' experience working in cyber security or information security
  • 2+ years' experience working in cyber security architecture roles
  • Proven Security Architecture delivery experience at enterprise level
  • Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, controls and risk management practices.
  • Demonstrated experience to influence architectural strategy and roadmap direction
  • Experience across areas such as cloud security, identity and access management, SIEM, endpoint security, vulnerability management, network security and application security.
  • Knowledge of security architecture principles and secure solution design.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements, including privacy and data protection standards.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience translating business requirements into practical and secure technology solutions.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
