Aussie Broadband is recruiting an Associate Cyber Defence Analyst to join the Security Operations team in Melbourne. You will support threat intelligence analysis, triage security alerts, and assess vulnerabilities that could impact the company and its customers.

Reporting to the Security Operations Manager, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the business to implement security controls and improve threat visibility. A passion for cyber security and ongoing learning are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Foundational understanding of common computer and network infections, attack methods, cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Awareness of cyber security principles and frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, SOCI, ASD Essential 8).
• Knowledge of operating systems, networks, firewalls, email security, authentication systems, cloud environments, identity management.

Aufgaben

• Gather cyber threat and vulnerability intelligence, assess risk, and support threat briefings.
• Analyse vulnerabilities and assess risk based on environmental factors.
• Investigate Level 1 security alerts by correlating information from multiple sources.
• Triage security alerts based on threat, policy and risk context.
• Use open-source and paid tools to analyse security threats.
• Engage with stakeholders to support security controls and initiatives.
