Job summary

Allens in Australia is seeking a Senior Associate or Associate to join our national cyber, data and AI law practice, based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne. The role focuses on cyber preparedness, incident response, complex data matters, AI governance and regulatory investigations, advising executives and boards on evolving digital risks and governance frameworks.

The position is permanent, full-time with hybrid working options, and offers collaboration across the firm and potential secondments

Qualifications

• Experience advising on cyber preparedness; cyber incident response; complex data, privacy, spam and surveillance matters; and regulatory investigations.
• Strong technical expertise and academics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to distil (and present) complex legal or technical issues into clear, concise advice tailored to the client’s level of understanding and practical needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to build an understanding of clients and develop effective working relationships.
• An ability to manage large matters and multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, and to lead teams.
• Proven experience and a willingness to participate in business development activities.
• A desire to learn, grow, network and mentor others.
