Job description

Customer Success & Onboarding Specialist | RosterElf

Love the pace of hospitality but ready for your next challenge?

You’ve managed busy shifts, organised rosters, solved problems on the fly and kept things running when everything gets chaotic.

You thrive in a fast-moving environment, enjoy working with people and are probably the person everyone turns to when something technical needs figuring out.

But perhaps you’re ready to swap the late nights and weekends for something different. What if you could take everything you’ve learned in hospitality and build a career in technology?

RosterElf is looking for an ambitious, tech-savvy person to join our growing Customer Success team. We’re particularly interested in hospitality managers who want to transition into the software industry, although candidates with existing SaaS or customer success experience are equally welcome.

You don’t need previous experience working for a software company, but you absolutely need to be comfortable with technology, curious about how things work and excited about learning new systems.

Who Are We?

RosterElf is a growing Australian software company helping businesses simplify workforce management. Our platform brings together rostering, time and attendance, payroll preparation and HR, helping businesses save time and manage their people more effectively.

We’re a small, ambitious team operating in a fast-moving technology environment. We’re constantly improving our product, introducing new features and embracing AI and automation to deliver better experiences for our customers.

We’re not a large corporate with layers of management and lengthy processes. We value initiative, accountability, fresh ideas and people who enjoy getting things done.

The Opportunity

As our Customer Success & Onboarding Specialist, you’ll play an important role in helping new and existing customers get the most out of RosterElf. You’ll work directly with business owners and managers, many of whom face the same operational challenges you’ve experienced in hospitality.

No two days will be quite the same. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Onboarding new customers and helping them successfully implement RosterElf
  • Running online product demonstrations and training sessions
  • Helping customers understand and use our rostering, time and attendance, payroll and HR features
  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email and online support
  • Troubleshooting issues and finding practical solutions
  • Proactively identifying customers who need additional assistance
  • Helping customers successfully adopt our software and achieve their goals
  • Working with AI-powered tools and automation to deliver smarter, more personalised customer experiences
  • Collaborating with our Commercial and Development teams to continually improve the product and customer experience

This isn’t a scripted call‑centre role. You’ll be encouraged to think independently, solve problems, contribute ideas and take ownership of your work.

Who Are We Looking For?

Our ideal candidate may currently be working as a:

  • Restaurant or Venue Manager
  • Hospitality Operations Supervisor
  • Multi‑site or Area Manager
  • Experienced hospitality professional looking for a career change

Alternatively, you may already have experience in SaaS, software support, onboarding or Customer Success and be looking to join a growing business where you can make a real impact.

What matters most is your attitude, technical aptitude and ability to learn. You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Are genuinely tech‑savvy and pick up new software quickly
  • Enjoy exploring new apps, digital tools and AI
  • Thrive in busy, fast‑paced environments
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Are confident speaking with business owners and managers
  • Enjoy problem‑solving and working things out independently
  • Can manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Take initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do
  • Are commercially minded and understand the importance of delivering a great customer experience
  • Are naturally curious, adaptable and keen to develop new skills

Experience with RosterElf, Deputy, Tanda, Xero, MYOB or other business software would be highly regarded. Previous SaaS experience is an advantage, but not essential.

Why Join RosterElf?

Build a career in technology: If you’re coming from hospitality, this is a genuine opportunity to enter the software industry without starting your career from scratch. Your operational experience is valuable to us.

Keep the pace, lose the late nights: Enjoy the energy and variety of a fast‑moving business with Monday–Friday working hours.

Work with AI and modern technology: We’re actively investing in AI and automation across our business. You’ll have opportunities to learn and work with emerging technologies as part of your everyday role.

Real career progression: We’re growing and want ambitious people who can grow with us. There will be opportunities to develop your technical, commercial and leadership skills over time.

Performance-based commissions: After you complete probation, you’ll be eligible for our performance‑based commission program, giving you the opportunity to increase your earnings as you develop and contribute to the business.

A small team where your contribution matters: You’ll work closely with our Commercial Lead and wider team, contribute ideas and see the direct impact of your work.

Full training provided: We’ll teach you our product, systems and processes. What we need from you is the drive, curiosity and aptitude to learn.

Salary & Benefits

  • $70,000–$75,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • Superannuation
  • Performance-based commissions following successful completion of probation
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday position
  • Genuine opportunities for career and salary progression
  • Exposure to modern AI and automation technologies

Ready to Make the Move?

If you’re an ambitious hospitality professional who loves technology, enjoys a challenge and wants to build a long‑term career in SaaS, we’d love to hear from you.

Come and grow with RosterElf.
