The Opportunity

This isn't a traditional customer service position.

This is not a call-centre role. This is a relationship-driven position where success comes from building trust, patiently solving problems and helping customers achieve great outcomes.

As a Customer Account Specialist, you'll become a trusted partner to our Australian and International customers. You'll support customers' day-to-day needs, help navigate challenges, identify growth opportunities, and build long-term relationships that drive customer loyalty, repeat business and account growth.

From customer enquiries and order management through to account development and commercial opportunities, you'll play an important role in both customer success and Discoverer's continued growth.

We're now looking for an exceptional Customer Account Specialist to join our Customer Experience Team in Gympie.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop trusted relationships with customers and key contacts
• Understand customer needs, purchasing patterns and future requirements
• Maintain proactive communication and follow-through
• Become a reliable patient point of contact that customers genuinely value
• Take ownership of customer enquiries and issues through to resolution
• Partner collaboratively across Sales, Operations, Supply, Logistics and Finance
• Turn complex situations into clear, practical solutions
• Apply sound judgement when information is incomplete or priorities are competing
• Ensure customers always know someone is looking after them

Grow Accounts

• Identify opportunities for repeat business and account growth
• Follow up quotations, enquiries and sales opportunities
• Introduce customers to relevant products and solutions
• Help customers maximise value from their relationship with Discoverer
• Manage customer enquiries via phone, email and online channels
• Process orders accurately and efficiently in all required systems
• Keep customers informed throughout the customer journey
• Deliver an experience that makes Discoverer easy to do business with

Who You Are

You're proactive, organised, commercially minded and genuinely enjoy helping people.

You thrive on building relationships, solving problems, following through on commitments and collaborating to grow revenue.

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Comfortable managing detailed administration, accurate order processing and customer follow-up
• Strong critical thinking and sound judgement when handling incomplete information and competing priorities
• Commercial awareness and customer focus
• Experienced in ERP and systems use
• Accountability and follow-through
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
• A willingness to learn and grow

Experience in customer service, customer success, account management, internal sales, business development support, or similar customer-facing roles will be highly regarded.

Experience working within mining, industrial, technical products or B2B environments is advantageous, but not essential.

Experience supporting International customers or working within multi-region customer environments is valued, but not essential.
