Job summary

Murrays Interiors is seeking a skilled and reliable Curtain, Blind & Shutter Installer to join our Mitchelton team in Queensland. This full-time role involves delivering high-quality installations of curtains, blinds, shutters and other window treatments for residential and commercial clients.

You will measure spaces, prepare sites, and install using hand and power tools while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Curtain, Blind & Shutter Installer or similar window treatment installation role.
• Sound knowledge of installation techniques, materials and industry best practices.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including drills, saws, tape measures and spirit levels.
• Ability to read and follow installation instructions accurately.
• Strong measuring and calculation skills to ensure precise fit and installation.
• A valid driver’s licence and reliable access to transport for traveling between job sites.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in various positions for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Problem-solving abilities to adapt to different building structures and installation challenges.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in installation work or a related trade are desirable.
• A safety-conscious mindset and willingness to comply with all health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install curtains, blinds, shutters and associated window treatment systems in residential and commercial properties with precision and attention to detail.
• Measure windows and spaces accurately to ensure proper fitting and installation of all products.
• Prepare installation sites by protecting furniture, flooring and other areas from damage during the installation process.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to mount fixtures, brackets and hardware according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers throughout the installation process, addressing queries and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Inspect completed installations to verify quality and functionality before handover to customers.
• Maintain accurate records of installations completed, materials used and any issues encountered on site.
• Travel to multiple job sites throughout the service area as required.
• Keep tools, equipment and vehicles in good working order and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies whilst on site.
