Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking an outstanding educational leader to join the leadership team as Assistant Principal (Curriculum) at St Benedict's Primary School, Mango Hill. The role focuses on teaching and learning, curriculum implementation, assessment, and data-informed practice to ensure excellence and equity for all students.

The position starts 19/01/2027 and is a full-time, fixed-term appointment with strong collaboration across staff; salary is AU$149,763–AU$157,120 per year plus

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.

Responsibilities

• Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
• Leading the implementation of the Australian Curriculum and BCE curriculum requirements.
• Driving whole-school improvement initiatives aligned with the school's Explicit Improvement Agenda and Annual Improvement Plan.
• Supporting teachers to embed evidence-informed pedagogical practices and effective classroom strategies.
• Leading the analysis and use of student achievement data to improve learning outcomes.
• Fostering a culture of collaboration, coaching, professional learning, and reflective practice.
• Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
• Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
• Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
