Qualifications

• Must hold a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent.
• Experience in cricket wicket preparation and turf curation.
• Knowledge of turf agronomy, irrigation, soil management, and seasonal cycles.
• Safe and meticulous approach with strong attention to detail.
• MR licence desirable; valid White Card desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain cricket pitches and practice facilities to competition standards.
• Conduct pitch preparation activities: rolling, watering, mowing, scarifying, and topdressing.
• Manage soil profiles and moisture levels to ensure healthy turf.
• Operate and maintain turf- and wicket-specific machinery.
• Assist with outfield maintenance, irrigation management, and seasonal renovations.
• Collaborate to plan schedules around weather, fixtures, and turf cycles.
• Support sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.

You'll:

• Prepare and maintain turf wickets and practice facilities to competition and event standards.
• Conduct pitch preparation, rolling, watering, mowing, scarifying, and topdressing schedules.
• Manage soil profiles, moisture levels, and turf health for consistent performance.
• Operate and maintain turf and wicket-specific machinery.
• Assist with outfield maintenance, irrigation management, and seasonal renovation.
• Work collaboratively to plan schedules around weather, fixtures, and turf cycles.
• Support sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

• Certificate III (or higher) in Sports Turf Management or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated experience in cricket wicket preparation and turf curation.
• Strong understanding of turf agronomy, irrigation, soil management, and seasonal cycles.
• A proactive, safety-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Current driver's licence (MR licence desirable).
• White Card (desirable).
• Genuine pride in producing premium playing surfaces.
