Job summary

Bungree Aboriginal Association in Wyong NSW is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver culturally safe, holistic primary healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The role offers two or three days per week (Mon-Wed, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) with an hourly rate of $180 plus superannuation, and the option to operate from Wyong or Gosford hospitals.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA.
• Fellowship of RACGP and/or ACRRM.
• Commitment to culturally safe and respectful healthcare.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities valued, not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive general practice services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
• Conducting health assessments, chronic disease management, and preventative care.
• Collaborating with Aboriginal Health Workers, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Supporting care planning and referrals to specialist and allied health services.
• Promoting culturally safe and trauma-informed healthcare practices.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and compliance with professional standards.
