Job summary

You will design and simulate, fabricate prototypes using additive manufacturing, test and validate materials, and contribute to publications and project milestones while mentoring

Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of electromagnetic theory, microwave engineering and antenna theory.
• Experience in design and modelling of microwave circuits and antennas for high-frequency/satellite applications.
• Proficiency with electromagnetic simulation software (CST HFSS ADS).
• Hands-on microwave/antenna hardware development, fabrication and testing.
• Experience with 3D printing/additive manufacturing for RF applications.
• Material characterisation for microwave components.

Responsibilities

• Design, model and optimise microwave circuits and antennas for CubeSat applications.
• Perform full-wave electromagnetic simulation and numerical modelling.
• Develop additively manufactured antenna prototypes and optimise fabrication processes.
• Characterise materials and fabricated components for microwave use.
• Fabricate, integrate and test microwave and antenna hardware.
• Demonstrate reconfigurable, shape-morphing and beam steering functions for CubeSat systems.
