Job summary

Healthscope in Brisbane is seeking a casual CSSD Technician to join our perioperative team. The role involves thermal disinfection, packaging and sterilising instruments for theatre and clinical areas, with shifts across AM, PM and night on a rotational basis.

You will work to AS/NZS AS 5369:2023 standards, document quality activities, and maintain instrument prioritisation. Ideal candidates have Cert III in Sterilisation (completed or be studying), strong communication, and good computer

Are you an experienced CSSD Technician who is self-motivated and enthusiastic or currently studying towards Cert III in Sterilisation?

About the role

Brisbane Private Hospital are currently seeking a casual CSSD Technician to join our dynamic perioperative team. Shifts will vary across AM, PM and night shifts on rotational basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas
• Comply with AS/NZ standards AS 5369:2023
• Operate interpret and document all machinery operational requirements
• Report and document all quality activities
• Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes

Brisbane Private is a 181-bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 18 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbane’s leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.
