Job summary

Calvary Healthcare is seeking a CSSD Technician to clean, assemble, inspect, wrap and sterilise surgical instruments and medical equipment across CSSD and Endoscopy.

The role is full-time and a Sterilising Certificate is advantageous. Applicants should have strong communication and teamwork skills and be committed to professional development and Calvary's mission.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or willingness to attain.
• Effective communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.
• Commitment to Calvary Healthcare's Mission & Values.
• Previous experience in CSSD and/or Endoscopy services.
• Understanding of AS5369:2023

Responsibilities

• Process instruments and equipment per infection control standards and guidelines.
• Undertake testing of equipment and escalate anomalies to facility authority.
• Perform duties according to GESA, GENCA, HICMR and AS5369:2023 standards.

About the role

The CSSD Technician is responsible for the cleaning, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical equipment across the CSSD and Endoscopy departments.

This is a full time position and the Sterilising Certificate is an advantage.

Your main duties will include:

• Process instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards and guidelines
• Undertake testing of equipment as required and promptly elevate any identified anomalies to the appropriate facility authority
• Undertake functions according to the GESA & GENCA, HICMR and AS5369:2023 current standards
