Job summary

Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking a casual Instrument Technician to support the Central Sterilisation Services Department. The role is based on the Gold Coast Campus within a modern 339-bed facility, offering a wide range of specialties and a commitment to compassionate care.

You will contribute to safe sterilisation processes and participate in quality improvement initiatives. You will help maintain stock, report equipment issues, and support a multidisciplinary team, including

Qualifications

Must hold or be enrolled in a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services.
Experience in Sterile Services in a hospital or large organisation is desirable.
Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with strong attention to safety.

Responsibilities

Provide sterilising service by cleaning and preparing surgical instruments for sterilisation.
Maintain stock levels of sterile items and manage equipment and wastage.
Support learning and provide mentoring to peers and less experienced staff.
Collaborate with Unit Manager and clinical team, participating in meetings and ensuring timeliness.
