Job summary

Mater Private Hospital Townsville is seeking an experienced CSSD Technician advancing to a CSSD Coordinator role at our Pimlico campus. This full-time position is 38 hours per week with morning and afternoon shifts between 6:30am–3:00pm and 2:30pm–11:00pm, Monday to Friday, offering variety and flexibility to support the CSSD team.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of AS/NZS5369:2023 and compliance requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated people management and leadership experience in a CSSD setting.
• Experience in roster management and workforce planning in a healthcare environment.
• Strong focus on sustainable business outcomes while prioritizing patient experience and outcomes.
• Strong critical thinking and judgment skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert within the CSSD unit, demonstrating specialized knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Townsville network and wider MML network to support daily operations and organizational activities.
• Foster positive relationships and cooperation with peers and colleagues across various units and departments to facilitate a seamless patient journey.
• Lead daily staff huddles/meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Implement and coordinate the education program for CSSD technicians.
