Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a CSS Drafter to produce and coordinate 2D drawings and 3D models for transport and infrastructure projects in Australia.

You will develop digital models using CAD/BIM software, translate sketches and calculations into design documentation, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure constructible, compliant designs. The role requires experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, 12D or similar platforms, strong knowledge of Australian Standards, and

Qualifications

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Engineering Design and Drafting, Civil Construction Design or related discipline.
• Experience in civil, structural, transport or infrastructure drafting and design.
• Proven experience producing engineering drawings and documentation using CAD and BIM software.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, 12D, Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar platforms.
• Experience on transport, road, rail, civil or infrastructure projects within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards, transport authority specifications, BIM principles and document control processes.
• Excellent communication, coordination and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple project priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate high-quality 2D drawings, 3D models and documentation for transport and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain digital engineering models using CAD/BIM software.
• Support engineers and project managers by translating sketches, calculations and specifications into design documentation.
• Produce drawings and models for roads, rail, bridges, retaining walls, utilities, drainage and other civil assets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are coordinated, constructible and compliant with project requirements.
• Apply BIM and digital engineering principles to improve project delivery and design outcomes.
• Perform quality checks and self-verification of drawings and models to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities
