Job summary

Austral Resources, a Queensland-based copper company, is seeking skilled Crushing & Stacking Operators for Our Lady Annie Operations, about 120km north-northwest of Mount Isa. Join a safety‑focused team delivering reliable processing operations.

You’ll work with a hands-on crew in copper crushing, stacking circuits and transfer chutes, with a 14/14 FIFO/DIDO roster from Cairns, Brisbane and Townsville. The role offers on-site facilities, training, and a pathway to build practical mine‑site

Qualifications

• Experience in mining or heavy industry preferred.
• Ability to work in a physical, hands-on processing environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Willingness to obtain or use additional site tickets if required.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support copper crushing operations.
• Conduct general plant housekeeping and clean-up duties.
• Follow site procedures and environmental controls.
• Operate stacking circuit and transfer chutes.
• Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to keep the plant running safely.

About the Role

Our Lady Annie Operations, located approximately 120km north-northwest of Mount Isa, has been an operational copper mine for over 10 years. We are currently seeking skilled and safety-focused Crushing & Stacking Operators to join our team and contribute to the growing success of our process operations.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Crushing Maintenance Superintendent, you will have a hands-on role in copper crushing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct general plant housekeeping and clean‑up duties.

Follow site procedures, safety requirements, and environmental controls.

Work as part of a team to support safe and efficient plant operations

Operating and maintaining stacking circuit.

Operating and maintaining transfer chutes.
