Job summary

Backwater Pastoral Co. in rural NSW seeks a full-time senior Cropping Manager to lead cropping across a 3000Ha mixed farming operation 40km southwest of Narromine. You will plan, implement and optimise cropping strategies to suit seasonal conditions and market needs.

This role requires experience in farming, self-motivation and strong communication with owners and contractors. Knowledge of modern farm equipment and chemical accreditation is essential to manage operations safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Industry experience with cropping operations.
• High ethical standards and self-motivation.
• Ability to operate modern farm equipment and apply chemicals.
• Good communication and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Must hold a current driver's license and have a vehicle.
• Livestock husbandry skills preferred.

Backwater Pastoral Co. is a family business mixed farming operation covering over 3000Ha's located 40km's southwest of Narromine, NSW. Our cropping enterprise mainly consists of however, is not limited to Cotton, Wheat, Chickpeas, Canola and a variety of grazing/fodder crops. Narromine is a small, vibrant and welcoming rural town with most services including a good range of shops, cafés, pubs, clubs and sporting teams, and is only 30km from Dubbo.
