Job summary

Bothkamp Australia Farm in Kununurra, WA is seeking motivated Crop Farm Workers to join our horticulture team. These full-time roles support melon and pumpkin operations and involve crop production, harvest, machinery operation, and crew supervision.

Two positions available; outdoor work in hot Kimberley conditions with progression to day-to-day farm operations. Suitable candidates will have licence, horticulture experience, and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Hold a current manual driver's licence.
• At least 1 year full-time experience in horticulture, agriculture or commercial farming.
• Able to supervise and motivate seasonal work crews.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically fit for manual outdoor work.
• Willing to work in hot conditions typical of the East Kimberley region.
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
• Agree to random drug and alcohol testing.
• Agree to provide a police clearance if requested.

Responsibilities

• Operating tractors, forklifts, and agricultural machinery.
• Performing minor maintenance and cleaning of vehicles and plant.
• Assisting with planting, irrigation, crop maintenance and harvesting activities
• Monitoring crop quality and harvest standards
• Assisting with coordination of picking crews.
• Picking, grading and packing melons and watermelons.
• Recording harvest and production data.
• Chipping weeds.
• Other general farm duties as required.

Crop Farm Worker

Location: Kununurra, WA

Number of positions: 2

Salary: $71,481 - $85,000 per annum plus superannuation, dependent on skills and experience.

Bothkamp Australia Farm is seeking motivated and reliable Crop Farm Workers to join our horticulture team in Kununurra, Western Australia.

These are full-time ongoing positions, working across our commercial melon and pumpkin operations. The successful applicants will assist with crop production and harvest activities, supervise harvest crews, operate farm machinery and support the day-to-day operation of the farm.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating tractors, forklifts, and agricultural machinery
• Performing minor maintenance and cleaning of vehicles and plant.

Essential

Working Conditions

Kununurra is located in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia and experiences high temperatures throughout much of the year. Applicants must be comfortable working outdoors in remote regional conditions.
