Job summary

NSW Health at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) Intensive Care Service is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 – Critical Care Resource Nurse for a temporary part-time role. You will provide senior clinical leadership, support practice development and mentor nursing staff.

The CNS2 will exercise advanced autonomous decision-making, work with senior clinicians, and contribute to high-quality, patient-centered care within a tertiary level ICU. Rotational rosters with 12-hour shifts apply.

Qualifications

• Current nurse registration with AHPRA.
• Experience in Intensive Care Nursing.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Holds a Critical Care Post-Graduate Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development and delivery of specialist critical care practice within the RPAH Intensive Care Service.
• Utilise advanced clinical skills with extended autonomy in clinical decision-making to support safe, high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with nursing management and senior clinicians to drive practice development and staff education.
• Promote continuous improvement in patient outcomes and service delivery across the Intensive Care Service.
• Strengthen clinical capability and foster a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration and patient safety.
