Job summary

Commonwealth Bank is seeking an Executive Manager, Crew Lead for Complex Investigations to lead the end-to-end strategy, roadmap and delivery of a critical economic crime investigations capability.

You will drive smarter workflows through data, automation, and decision support, partnering across technology, risk and operations to deliver measurable customer and regulatory outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large-scale product, technology, operations or transformation teams.
• Proven ability to deliver customer, regulatory, risk or business outcomes through multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong strategic, commercial and operational judgement with ability to connect vision and execution.
• Ability to engage executives and partner across multiple functions.

• Own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, performance and delivery outcomes for the crew.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team spanning product, technology, data, risk, operations, delivery and change.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable quarterly plans, squad priorities, delivery milestones and performance measures.
• Shape and prioritise a clear, outcome-focused backlog balancing transformation, resilience, regulatory delivery, risk reduction and customer impact.
• Establish governance across planning, delivery, controls, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions and reporting.
• Use data, metrics and insights to monitor performance and support timely executive decision-making.
• Build partnerships across Economic Crime, Technology, Risk, Data and Operations to resolve dependencies and drive sustainable change.
• Create an accountable, engaged crew culture that champions simplification, automation, resilience and safe delivery.

• Strong knowledge of risk management, governance, controls and delivery assurance in a regulated environment.


• Executive-level stakeholder engagement, influencing and partnership capability.


• Experience navigating competing priorities, cross-domain dependencies and complex trade-offs.


• A data-led approach to performance, prioritisation and decision-making.


• A commitment to developing people and building high-performing, inclusive teams. Experience in financial crime, investigations, banking, workflow, automation or technology-enabled operational change would be highly regarded.
