Job summary

Encore Global in Canberra is seeking an experienced AV Technician to lead installation, operation, and removal of cutting-edge AV setups for premium live events. You’ll work with a passionate team to deliver world-class experiences across top venues, while maintaining a customer-first approach.

The role requires hands-on expertise in audio, lighting, and video, familiarity with Barco, Yamaha, and GrandMA systems, and the ability to lead crews and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in audio, lighting, and video system setups for live events.
• Strong technical expertise in Barco PDS and S3 switching systems, Yamaha QL and CL audio consoles, GrandMA lighting control systems (programming experience highly regarded)
• Hybrid & Virtual event delivery experience
• Camera operation skills (desirable)
• Familiarity with scenic setups: drapes, stage skirts, truss borders
• Ability to lead crews and mentor junior technicians
• Excellent client-facing communication and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail, and calm under pressure
• A polished, professional presentation with a customer-first mindset
• Flexibility for after-hours, weekend work, and occasional travel
• Rigger’s Ticket (highly desirable)
