We’re seeking an experienced science teacher who loves to write to be the voice of Stile for Australian science educators, bringing real classroom credibility to everything we say to teachers, heads of science and school leaders.
You’re a science teacher who loves the craft of communicating ideas. You know what teachers value, what wastes their time and what earns their trust, and you can turn that into words that land. You can move between a campaign brief, a product conversation and a staffroom without losing sight of the audience.
You’ve most likely taught secondary science for at least five years; you may have been a Head of Science, curriculum leader or learning specialist, or written for teachers in another form. If you’ve taught with Stile, even better.
Here are a few qualities we think will help you shine in this role (but you don’t need all of them to apply):
This is a full‑time, fixed‑term role parental leave cover), based in our Melbourne CBD office with a few days a week in the office. You’ll travel occasionally for school visits, events and conferences, but this isn’t a role on the road.

Colleagues worth working with. You'll join an amazing 75‑strong team of teachers, scientists, artists and engineers. Imagine a workplace where everyone genuinely cares about, and is working towards, improving scientific literacy amongst our young citizens. We hold ourselves, and each other, to a high standard, and love what we do.
Community. In this role, you’ll build an incredible network of teachers, school leaders and science educators across Australia.
Flexibility. We care about the quality and quantity of the work you get done. Expect that you'll work hard, but you'll have flexible hours and you're the master of your own schedule.
Support always. Stile is its people, and it's important we are creating an environment where you're supported, happy and able to do your best work. We have strong management and feedback frameworks, and a great benefits program .
