Queensland Country Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst for a full-time, 18-month contract based at the Townsville Head Office. You will help manage the credit portfolio and support our branch network with credit matters.

The role emphasizes financial analysis, lending knowledge, and strong communication skills, with a focus on delivering accurate reports and customer service.

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Analyst to join the Credit Department on a full-time, 18‑month contract, based at our Townsville Head Office. As a Credit Analyst, you will assist in the ongoing management of the credit portfolio of Queensland Country Bank and provide assistance to the branch network in relation to all credit related matters.

This is a full time based on a 38-hour working week, with the successful applicant based out of Townsville.

About You

To be eligible to apply for this position you must demonstrate the following:

• Strong consumer and small business lending knowledge, business banking and commercial lending knowledge desirable
• Ability to understand and complete financial analysis
• Understanding of relevant legislation and prudential framework
• Professional verbal and written communication skills including the ability to negotiate, influence and prepare reports
• Exceptional organisational skills and a strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
