Job summary

Ovolo Group is seeking a Commis Chef for a part-time position in Central NSW, Australia. The role focuses on preparing dishes with locally sourced produce and supporting breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.

You will work under the Head Chef, maintaining mise en place, quality, and teamwork to deliver memorable guest experiences. 1–2 years’ experience is preferred; flexibility is required to cover shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of work experience at a Commis Chef level.

Responsibilities

• Take control of the breakfast/lunch/dinner service and ensure guests receive a truly delicious and memorable experience.
• Cooking and managing breakfast/lunch service and assisting with lunch service.
• Setting up and cleaning down the kitchen after service.
• Ensure all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.
• Ensure all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared to the correct recipe and quantity.
• Communicate any anticipated issues to the Head Chef.
• Manage and treat staff fairly and with courtesy.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, quality, and food costs.
