Job summary

Canopy, Adelaide CBD, is seeking a Bar Manager to shape the next chapter of our venue within a wine and cocktail focused hospitality program. The role blends exceptional cocktail leadership with collaboration across chefs and sommeliers, driving a busy service, function enquiries, and wine dinner events while refining how the venue operates.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Bar Manager in premium hospitality.
• Experience supervising restaurant floor staff.
• Strong organizational and administration skills.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Collaborative across bar, floor and kitchen teams.
• Creative thinker; contributes to venue development.
• Professionalism and guest-focused hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day bar operations.
• Develop and evolve Canopy's cocktail programme.
• Manage ordering, stock control and monthly stock takes.
• Maintain high service standards and mentor the bar team.
• Handle function enquiries and manage bookings.
• Collaborate with chefs and sommeliers on beverage matching.
• Plan and execute wine dinners, masterclasses and events.
• Drive continual improvement of systems and guest experiences.
