Job summary

NW Mining & Civil are seeking an experienced C6 Crane Operator to join our client’s team at a remote mine site north of Mt Isa. You will operate Franna cranes and 50t/60t Tadano units, carrying out shutdown and maintenance work across various mine sites.

Candidates with dogging, rigging, forklift or EWP experience, or other heavy machinery skills will be highly regarded. A 60t Tadano with computerised interface experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience operating frannas and up to 60t cranes.
• C6 (or above) high risk licence.
• Manual drivers licence (current to operate on a mine site).
• RI, DG, LF or EWP an advantage.
• RIIs for AHT, LE or LL an advantage.
• Pre-employment medical (MMQ RHS) within last 12 months or eligible to pass.
• Be able to pass D&A testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate Franna cranes and 50t/60t Tadano cranes on remote mine sites.
• Carry out shutdown and maintenance work across various mine sites.
• Utilise dogging, rigging, forklift and EWP skills when required.
• Work 12-hour shifts with rosters 2/1 or 3/1.
• Maintain safety standards and work well in a team.
