Skyline Hire is seeking experienced Crane Operators to support crane hire, heavy lifting, construction, shutdown and site-based works across the East Coast of Australia.

Qualifications

• Must hold a High Risk Work Licence for crane operation.
• Proven experience operating cranes in construction, shutdowns or heavy lift environments.
• Ability to read lift plans, SWMS and site instructions.
• Strong safety focus and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes safely and in accordance with company, client and legislative requirements.
• Participate in lift planning, pre-starts, toolbox talks and job risk assessments.
• Complete pre-operational checks, logbooks and equipment documentation.
• Work closely with riggers, dogmen, supervisors and site teams during lifting activities.
• Identify hazards and stop work where conditions are unsafe.
• Maintain good housekeeping and care of assigned plant and equipment.
• Assist with mobilisation, demobilisation and site setup activities where required.
• Follow company procedures, client requirements and safe work methods.
• Report defects, incidents, near misses and operational concerns promptly.

About the Role

Skyline Hire is seeking experienced Crane Operators to support crane hire, heavy lifting, construction, shutdown and site-based works across the East Coast of Australia. This role suits safety-focused operators who take pride in planning, communication, equipment care and safe lifting outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cranes safely and in accordance with company, client and legislative requirements
• Participate in lift planning, pre-starts, toolbox talks and job risk assessments

Skills and Experience

• Relevant High Risk Work Licence for crane operation
• Experience operating cranes in construction, shutdown, industrial or heavy lift environments
• Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and crane operations
• Ability to read and follow lift plans, SWMS and site instructions
• Strong communication skills and a safety-first approach
• Ability to pass site medical, drug and alcohol screening and client mobilisation requirements
• Additional high-risk tickets, such as dogging, rigging, EWP or forklift
• Experience with shutdowns, maintenance or heavy industrial projects
