Job summary

Coroners Court of Victoria is seeking a Court Administration Officer to provide essential administrative support for coronial investigations. You will work within the Coroners Support Services team to ensure timely completion of investigations and to maintain accurate records.

About the Role

Court Administration Officers provide administrative support to Coroners to ensure the effective completion of their coronial investigations. They work as part of the Coroners Support Services team and play an integral part of supporting this busy unit.

Core functions of the role are to:

  • Undertake bench clerking in court and redacting coronial material for Coroners.
  • Maintain and manage various records and registers.
  • Attend to telephone and counter enquiries from employees, members of the public, interested parties and other Government agencies.
  • Prepare routine correspondence on a range of administrative matters and attend to follow-up procedures as necessary.
About You

As the successful candidate, you will be a proven administrative professional with exceptional communications skills and the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.

You will demonstrate a high degree of maturity and sensitivity while understanding work requirements to organise, prioritise and manage time and resources to meet objectives.
