Qualifications

  • Guide prospective students through the enrolment process and provide accurate course information.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Student Management System (SMS).
  • Meet monthly engagement and conversion targets.

About the Role

As a Course Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for prospective students. You will play a key role in guiding individuals through the enrolment process and providing accurate and supportive information to help them make informed decisions about their study and career options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to phone, email, and in-person enquiries about available courses and training pathways
  • Assist prospective students in understanding course structures, funding options, eligibility requirements, and career outcomes
  • Support the end-to-end enrolment process, including LLN testing, document collection, and follow-up communications
  • Liaise with trainers, administration staff, and compliance teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new students
  • Maintain accurate records in the Student Management System (SMS)
  • Meet and exceed monthly engagement or conversion targets through proactive communication and follow-up
  • Represent Auctus at expos, information sessions, and community events when required

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—able to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals
  • Strong ability to prioritise multiple tasks, work to tight timelines, and make sound decisions independently
  • Well-developed organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based culture
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new systems, including Student Management Systems (e.g., Cloud Assess, VETtrak)
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Student Management Systems (e.g., Cloud Assess, VETtrak)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to build genuine relationships and provide personalised service
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and hold a current driver's licence
  • Understanding of or experience in the vocational education and training (VET) sector
  • Previous experience in a course advisory, sales, enrolment, or student support role within an RTO or education setting
  • Knowledge of Skills SA or Commonwealth-funded training programs
  • Relevant qualifications in business, customer service, or education
