Job summary

Be Recruitment is seeking a counsellor to join an established community services organisation serving individuals, couples and families across the Western Sydney area. The role involves face-to-face, telephone and online counselling, with a strong emphasis on couples and family counselling.

You will support clients through relationship difficulties, separation, grief and trauma, and facilitate parenting/ Psycho-educational groups while maintaining culturally responsive practice and pursuing

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Counselling, Psychology or Social Work.
• Professional membership or registration (ACA, PACFA, AASW or AHPRA).
• Experience in couples and family counselling, including working with children.
• Experience facilitating therapeutic or psycho-educational groups.
• Understanding of culturally responsive practice with First Nations and culturally diverse communities.
• Strong communication, organisation and client documentation skills.
• Current NSW driver licence and willingness to travel for work.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face, telephone and online counselling to individuals, couples and families.
• Support clients through relationship breakdown, bereavement, trauma and grief; navigate family law pathways.
• Facilitate parenting and psycho-educational group programs.
• Make warm referrals to appropriate services.
• Maintain accurate client records and contribute to reporting.
• Participate in clinical supervision and local service networks.
