Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland in Bundaberg is seeking a Counsellor/Group Facilitator for the Parenting Orders Program. This part-time role involves supporting families through separation and emotional stress, with some evening work and a maximum-term contract to June 30, 2027.

You will assess, counsel and co-facilitate groupwork, provide risk assessments, and work within Not-for-Profit benefits. Bachelor-level degree and eligibility for APS/AASW/PACFA are required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of Bachelor Level Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Behavioural Science from a recognised tertiary institution
• Eligible for membership with APS; AASW or PACFA
• Current Queensland Drivers Licence
• Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card)
• Willingness to undergo a criminal history check

Responsibilities

• Providing assessment, counselling, psychoeducation, referrals and case management to parents.
• Providing support to children and families through referrals and case collaboration.
• The role will include completing risk assessments and safety planning with people experiencing domestic and family violence and adhering to organisational processes to manage client risk.
