The Role & Responsibilities:

As a Council Services Manager, you will lead and manage the delivery of municipal and community services in remote locations, ensuring operational excellence, delivering impactful outcomes, and fostering community connections. This hands-on leadership role requires adaptability, resilience, and a commitment to creating meaningful impact in diverse settings.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing the delivery of municipal and community services, including waste management, community events, and night patrols.
  • Mentoring and developing a diverse team, fostering professional growth and strong workplace culture.
  • Building partnerships with local schools, health clinics, and other organisations to enhance community outcomes.
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and managing the financial budgets effectively.
  • Promoting environmental sustainability and adhering to best practices.
  • Coordinating resources to meet the dynamic needs of the community.
  • Presence in the community inspecting public spaces and driving improvement initiatives.
What You Will Bring:
  • Leadership experience in either operations and/or municipal services.
  • Hands-on leadership style and capability to lead by example.
