Job summary

Bouygues Construction Australia is seeking a dedicated Cost Controller to analyze project costs, support target costing, allocate costs to activities, and manage invoicing for multiple projects.

You will perform cost planning, forecasting, and reporting with emphasis on controlling deviations and delivering timely documentation for reviews across civil infrastructure and energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Account for cost, time and scope controls per contract.
• Cost planning, forecasting and monitoring estimations.
• Track milestones to ensure project targets are realized.
• Validate scope against contract scope and sales estimates.
• Prepare cost estimates and update online costs forecasts.
• Minimise deviation through rigorous cost control and forecasting.
• Close control of subcontracts and supplier accounts costs.
• Provide periodic financial statements about project progress.
• Regularly report risks, opportunities and deviations.
• Provide timely supporting documentation for project reviews.

About The Role

As a Cost Controller, you will be accountable for the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing projects and tracing costs to underlying activities. You will need to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management though out costs allocations, follow ups and reporting. Invoicing to various projects is as well a main part of the scope of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible of controls activities including the measures of cost, time and scope of the project in accordance with the contract.
• Cost planning, forecasting and monitoring cost estimations.
• Tracking milestones and insuring project targets are realized.
• Validate scope documents with contract scope/ sales estimates.
• Prepare cost estimates and update online costs forecasts.
• Minimise deviation through rigorous cost control and forecasting.
• Close control of subcontracts/ supplier accounts costs.
• Periodic financial statements about project progress
• Regular reporting of risk/ opportunities and potential deviations.
• Timely supporting documentation for project reviews.

Qualification & Experience

• Degree in Management/Accounting & Finance
• Experience in a Cost Control/ Finance officer Role
• High profile global Construction/Civil Engineering Company
