Job summary

Vara Aesthetics in Clayfield, Australia, is seeking an experienced cosmetic injector to join a multidisciplinary clinic with RN, Medical Director and dermatology support. You will own the patient journey from consultation through to treatment and long-term planning, delivering safe, natural-looking results with a skin-first approach.

The role involves comprehensive facial assessments, delivering injectable treatments, collaborating in weekly meetings, and mentoring within a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration (RN, NP or medical practitioner).
• Minimum 2 years of cosmetic injecting experience, working autonomously.
• Confident full face assessment and treatment planning.
• Strong anatomical knowledge, including recognition and management of complications.
• Current professional indemnity insurance and BLS competency.
• Advanced consultation and communication skills.
• Commitment to ethical, patient centred care.
• Professional presentation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own the full patient journey from first consultation to long-term planning.
• Conduct comprehensive cosmetic consultations and full face assessments.
• Plan and deliver injectable treatments within your scope of practice.
• Bring complex cases to our weekly clinical team meeting and contribute to plans.
• Work with dermal therapy and laser to create combined skin and injectable plans.
• Educate patients, set realistic expectations and obtain informed consent.
• Manage treatment reviews, follow-up care and any complications.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation to audit standards.
• Build long-term patient relationships based on trust and results.

We are looking for an experienced cosmetic injector to join a clinic where the difficult cases are reviewed by the whole team, not carried alone.

WHAT MAKES VARA DIFFERENT

• A genuinely multidisciplinary team. Registered nurses, a Medical Director, a dermatology registrar and an affiliated plastic surgeon, working together in one clinic.
• A weekly clinical team meeting where complex cases are reviewed collaboratively, with three prescribers at the table, and one considered plan comes out. You will never carry a difficult case on your own.
• Advanced capability on site. Fotona laser, PRF, InMode ASCE exosomes, compounded prescription peels formulated with our compounding pharmacy, and ultrasound guided filler dissolving.
• Patients who stay. Many have been with our Clinical Director for eight years or more. They come to us for continuity of care, not for offers.
• Led by RN Kristy Shearn, Clinical Director, with Dr James Rigano as Medical Director.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will own the full patient journey, from the first consultation through to treatment, review and long term planning.

• Work with our dermal therapy and laser team on combined skin and injectable plans

• Build long term patient relationships based on trust and results

In your first 12 months, you will build a rebooking patient base of your own and extend into advanced full face planning with mentoring from the Clinical Director.

ESSENTIAL

• Confident consulting and recommending multiple treatments to clients to help them achieve their results.
• Comfortable saying not today, and able to explain why in a way the patient thanks you for.
• Genuinely collaborative. You want your plans reviewed by other clinicians, and you contribute to theirs.
• Always learning. You audit your own results, you read, and you ask.
• Commercially aware. You see rebooking, retention and treatment planning as part of good care, not as selling.
• Reliable with documentation, follow up and the small things patients notice.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE

• An existing patient following
• Advanced full face treatment planning experience
• Experience within premium or medical led cosmetic clinics
• Experience with Fotona or other energy based devices
• Prescribing endorsement (NP)
• An interest in training, mentoring or teaching
• Social media and content creation experience
