Job summary

Law Staff in Brisbane is seeking lawyers with 2–8 years' PAE to build a broad Corporate & Commercial practice. You’ll work with Partners across high-value M&A, contracts, due diligence, and corporate advisory, developing long-term client relationships.

The role offers hybrid working, firm-provided devices, and strong career progression. You’ll bring experience across front-end corporate matters, a solid grasp of the Corporations Act, and confidence in drafting, transactions, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–8 years' PAE in Corporate & Commercial law.
• Solid grounding in front-end corporate matters and contract drafting.
• Understanding of the Corporations Act and corporate compliance.

Responsibilities

Looking for a Corporate & Commercial role where you can build a genuinely broad practice — not just work on M&A transactions?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Brisbane commercial firm and work across a diverse mix of transactional, advisory and corporate matters, while developing strong, long-term relationships with business-owner clients.

Working closely with experienced Partners, you’ll gain exposure to:

• High-value M&A transactions
• Commercial contracts and negotiations
• Due diligence and transaction documentation
• Capital raising and investment structuring
• Shareholders’ agreements and corporate structuring
• Joint ventures and broader commercial arrangements
• Business restructures and entity management across companies, trusts and partnerships
• Franchising
• Corporate governance and general commercial advisory

You’ll have a hands-on role across matters and provide practical, commercially focused advice that directly supports your clients and their businesses.

About You

We’re keen to hear from Associates and Senior Associates with approximately 2 to 8 years’ PAE and a solid grounding in Corporate & Commercial law.

You’ll ideally bring experience across front-end corporate matters, a strong understanding of the Corporations Act, and confidence in contract drafting, transactions and corporate compliance.
