Job summary

Meridian Lawyers in Melbourne seeks a talented Associate to join our Corporate & Commercial team. You will work on a broad range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and governance, with exposure to large-scale transactions.

The successful candidate will have at least three years’ post-qualification experience, strong drafting and analytical skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ post admission experience in corporate and commercial practice.
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
• Ability to deliver high quality work efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a strong sense of initiative and autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Advise a broad range of clients across industries including insurance, healthcare, financial services and property.
• Handle mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, business structuring, governance, commercial contracting, regulatory compliance and strategic advisory matters.
• Work directly with clients to contribute to complex transactions from inception to completion.
• Be supported by Principals and senior lawyers in a collaborative, inclusive culture.
