Job summary

Ivory Group in New South Wales is seeking a Strategic Planning & Policy Coordinator to shape the council's planning framework. You will review contributions, heritage plans, planning proposals and SSDA submissions, providing timely information and facilitating inclusive community consultation.

Reporting to the Strategic Outcomes Manager, you will help manage the team’s growth and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a Senior Strategic Planning or Planning Policy role.
• Experience with Strategic Land Use Planning, Local Environmental Plans, and heritage planning.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail, with strong communication skills.
• Current Driver's License (Class C).

ABOUT THE COMPANY.

This council situated inland, south-west of Sydney is looking for a Strategic Planning & Policy Coordinator to play an influential role in leading and supporting the growth of the team.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

Reporting to the Strategic Outcomes Manager,you willplay a pivotal role in shaping this Council strategic planning framework. Additionally, you will be required to review contributions and heritage plans, strategic planning proposals, SSDA submissions & providetimely and effective planning information and inclusive community consultation activities.

DUTIES.

• Manage contributions planning, heritage planning and planning proposals
• Evaluate SSD submissions
• Oversee projected team growth & support current team
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

• Tertiary qualifications in Town/Regional and Urban Planning, Accounting and/or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Senior Strategic Planning or Planning Policy
• Extensive knowledge in Strategic Land Use Planning, Local Environmental Plans, Contribution planning, Heritage Planning & Relevant Environmental Planning legislations.
• Excellent time management and great communication skills with high level of attention to detail
• Current Drivers License (Class C)
