Job summary

City of Moreton Bay is seeking a Coordinator Stormwater Engineering to lead a team delivering sustainable drainage and water quality design services from its Strathpine hub. The role focuses on governance, quality assurance and delivering compliant infrastructure outcomes.

You will coordinate day-to-day operations, guide design teams, and ensure delivery against standards while managing priorities and fostering staff development in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in civil or environmental engineering and RPEQ with relevant endorsement.
  • Knowledge of WHS obligations and safe design principles.
  • Experience leading stormwater and water quality design teams.
  • Registered professional engineer status and driver’s licence required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate workflow and task allocation to deliver stormwater engineering and water quality design services.
  • Develop quality-assured drainage, conveyance, detention and treatment system designs for compliance.
  • Resolve routine design coordination issues and escalate high-risk matters with clear options.
  • Support staff development and promote consistent design practices.

Job description

  • TRP $207,505 pa (inclusive of 12% super and leave loading)
  • 76 hour fortnight
  • 5 weeks annual leave
  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
  • Location: Strathpine

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Coordinator Stormwater Engineering, andlead a team who are make a lasting impact on community infrastructure outcomes.

As aCoordinator Stormwater Engineering you will coordinate the day to day operations by providing leadership and quality assurance for specialist stormwater engineering and water quality design services that deliver sustainable, compliant drainage and treatment system performance.

You will have the opportunity to;

  • coordinate workflow and task allocation to deliver stormwater engineering and water quality design services
  • develop quality assure drainage, conveyance, detention and treatment system designs for compliance with standards and performance requirements.
  • resolve routine design coordination issues and escalated complex or high risk matters with clear technical advice and options.
  • support staff development, technical capability and consistent design practices.

We are seeking a collaborative and experienced engineering leader with strong technical expertise in stormwater and water quality design. You can successfully manage competing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality, governance and customer outcomes.

You will bring;

  • strong understanding of stormwater system design, water quality treatment and quality assurance practices
  • experience supporting design governance and review processes
  • knowledge of WHS obligations, including safe design principles

You will have a tertiary qualifications in civil or environmental engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience), be aRegistered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) with an endorsement relevant to the role, Construction Induction Card and Current C class driver’s licence.
