Job summary

Yarra City Council is seeking a Coordinator Open Space Management and Maintenance to lead the delivery of Open Space Maintenance and Arboriculture services. The role works within the City Works branch to plan and implement the Council’s Capital Works program for Open Space, ensuring safe and effective operations.

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in Open Space Management and be capable of hands-on leadership, with strong collaboration across departments, flexible/hybrid

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Horticulture/Arboriculture field.
• Experience in Open Space Management, Maintenance and projects is desirable (including potential Project Management, Contract Management and people management).

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of Open Space Maintenance and Arboriculture services for the City of Yarra.
• Collaborate with Strategic Projects, Parks and Open Space to plan and deliver the Council’s Capital Works program related to Open Space.
• Provide leadership and oversee hands-on operations to support safe, effective service delivery.

Band 8 – Starting from $125,815.25 + super + Monthly RDO(RDO applicable for full-time 38 hours per week only)

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the City Works branch as Coordinator of Open Space Management and Maintenance. We are looking for someone who can effectively manage the delivery of all Open Space Maintenance and Arboriculture services within the City of Yarra in a safe and effective manner in conjunction with Strategic Projects, Parks and Open Space unit to develop, plan, and deliver the Council’s Capital Works program as it relates to Open Space.
