About the role

Reporting to the Director - Office of the Chief Executive Officer and Board Secretariat, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Support the SALHN Board Secretariat in meeting the legislative and compliance obligations of the Board and CEO
  • Support the preparation, and distribution of Board (and committee) papers and meeting logistics
  • Attend meetings, take minutes in accordance with contemporary practice, and distribute and follow up actions in a timely manner
  • Facilitation of on-boarding and induction of new Board and Committee members
  • Collaborate and consult with a wide range of internal/external stakeholders, including across government agencies as required
  • Identify, research, and evaluate policies, procedures, and processes across SALHN and DHW to ensure compliance and currency with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards
About you
  • Ability to evaluate information quickly, critically and accurately, and grasp the core complex or ambiguous problems and analyse and summarise key issues
  • Experience in providing high-level support to committees, including agendas, committee paper preparation, minute taking and follow up actions
  • Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and organisational and time management skills to manage multiple competing priorities under broad direction, within tight deadlines
  • Experience in the application and use of relevant corporate governance and compliance platforms including basic system administration and records keeping practices in accordance with state government policy requirements
